E-mail Forwarding
Learn more about e-mail forwarding, how it operates as well as in which situations it is beneficial to get it enabled.
The term email forwarding refers to an e-mail being forwarded from a receiving address to a third-party address that's not listed as a receiver. For example, a customer sends out an email from their personal mail box to support@domain.com and as much as they're concerned, this is actually the only recipient. When there is an active forwarding, the e-mail might be sent to owner@domain.com, for example, even though the customer never intended the e-mail to be sent there and might not be aware of the existence of this mail box. There are different reasons for using such forwarding. For example, if you've got several email addresses you're able to forward each of them to a single email address, which can make keeping track of emails easier and will allow you to get e-mails and respond to them in a timely manner. The feature can also be used in case a number of people should receive a copy of an email message delivered to a standard mail box.

E-mail Forwarding in Cloud Hosting
If you have a
cloud hosting plan with our company and you set up email addresses inside your account, you'll be able to forward it with only a few mouse clicks to another address of your choosing. The option can be enabled when you set up a brand new mailbox or any time later on and disabled just as easily any time you change your mind. This can be done through the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel in which you will control your account. You'll have the option to choose if a duplicate of the incoming e-mails will remain on our servers or not. The main advantage of this option is basically that you will always have a copy on your server if anything occurs with the other email address or if it's not active for some reason during the time an email message is forwarded. When the option is not enabled, an email will be received, forwarded and deleted from our servers even if the remote e-mail is operating or not, so it might be a good idea to have it enabled just to be prepared.

E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Servers
Forwarding an e-mail address hosted on our servers can be very straightforward if you have a
semi-dedicated server plan with our company and it will not require you more than a couple of mouse clicks to create. This can be done through the Emails part of the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel and you'll be able to keep an eye on the mailboxes that are being forwarded and where the e-mails will be sent with a glance. The option is activated and deactivated for any of the mailboxes inside your account. You could also activate or deactivate a valuable option we provide - a backup of the emails being relayed through our servers can stay on the server. By doing this, you will always have a backup copy of your incoming messages and you'll not need to concern yourself with losing any information. If you keep this feature disabled, you risk losing e-mails when there is an issue with the remote email address.
