Varnish
Take a look at Varnish, understand more details on web accelerators and find out exactly what is they do.
Varnish is a content caching platform, which is occasionally referred to as a caching HTTP reverse proxy. It’s a website accelerator that can increase the loading speed of a website by up to one thousand percent, based on the content itself. Anytime a visitor opens any page on a site that uses Varnish, the platform caches the page and delivers it instead of the web server if the visitor accesses it again. In this way, the browser request from the visitor is not handled by the web server and the page will open significantly faster, since Varnish can deliver data many times faster than any server software. The end result will be a substantially faster loading website, which leads to a greatly improved visitor experience. In case any of the cached web pages is updated on the actual website, the content that Varnish caches in its system memory is updated as well, so the visitors won’t see outdated data.

Varnish in Cloud Hosting
Varnish is available as an optional upgrade with all our
cloud hosting. You can add it to your website hosting account through the Hepsia Control Panel, which is offered with all shared plans and you will get a quite easy-to-use interface, which will grant you full control over the content caching system. Using 1-click fast-access buttons, you can restart or stop any of the instances, in other words – Varnish will no longer be enabled for a particular Internet site. You can also check a detailed system log file or delete the cache for any of the sites. When you add Varnish to your shared hosting package, you’ll be able to choose the maximum amount of memory that will be at your disposal for content caching purposes and the number of the sites that will use Varnish. You can always order more memory in increments of 32 MB and, for optimal performance, you can allocate a dedicated IP address to the websites that will use Varnish. This will permit you to get the most out of your sites and to have numerous happy users.

Varnish in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our
semi-dedicated servers include Varnish by default, so you can make full use of the web application accelerator and increase the load speed of any site that you host on our semi-dedicated servers. You’ll get 64 megabytes of system memory exclusively for Varnish at no additional cost and you will be able to create an instance with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with the semi-dedicated server plans. If you want more memory, the latter is offered in increments of 32 MB in the Upgrades section of the Control Panel and it will be available to you straight away. You can also order more instances as a separate upgrade, so you can decide whether a lot of content will be cached for one site or whether the memory will be utilized by several sites. Hepsia will permit you to restart or to shut down any instance, to view the system log file associated with it or to clear the cached files using 1-click controls. To get the most out of the Varnish accelerator, you can assign a dedicated IP to the websites which will use it.

Varnish in Dedicated Servers
If you order a
dedicated server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you’ll get the Varnish data caching platform at no additional fee and you will exert full control over it through an extremely easy-to-use GUI – you will be able to start, to terminate or to reboot an instance, to view an in-depth log, to delete the cached files associated with any site and much more. Varnish will have several GB of system memory at its disposal, so even if you run resource-heavy Internet sites with multiple visitors, you’ll notice the substantially faster page loading speeds and the lowered load on the machine. This will become a fact soon after you begin using the Varnish platform, as it will require some time to cache the site content that users access. You can get the most out of the platform’s capacity if the Internet sites that are using it also use a dedicated IP, but owing to the fact that your dedicated server includes a few IPs by default, you won’t need to pay anything on top of the monthly fee for the machine itself.
